Integration guide

Microsoft Teams

Receive Gjall vendor risk alerts directly in a Microsoft Teams channel using an Incoming Webhook connector. No code required — takes about 5 minutes to set up.

Prerequisites

  • Microsoft Teams with permission to add connectors to a channel
  • Gjall owner or admin role

Step 1 — Create an Incoming Webhook in Teams

1
In Microsoft Teams, navigate to the channel where you want Gjall alerts to appear.
2
Click the ··· (More options) menu next to the channel name, then select Connectors.
3
Search for Incoming Webhook and click Configure.
4
Give the connector a name like Gjall Alerts and optionally upload the Gjall logo. Click Create.
5
Copy the Webhook URL that appears. It looks like https://outlook.office.com/webhook/…

Note: If your Teams admin has disabled connectors, you may need to enable them at the tenant or team level first.

Step 2 — Configure in Gjall

1
Go to Settings → Integrations.
2
Under Microsoft Teams, paste the Incoming Webhook URL and click Save.
3
Gjall sends a test message to verify the connection. Check your Teams channel — you should see a confirmation card.

What alerts look like

Gjall posts an Adaptive Card to Teams for each alert. The card includes:

  • Severity badge (color-coded)
  • Vendor name and alert type (CVE, incident, breach)
  • Alert title and AI-generated summary
  • Link to view the full alert in Gjall

Tip: Only high and critical alerts are sent to Teams by default. Adjust alert thresholds in Settings → Notifications.

Troubleshooting

No messages appearing

Verify the Webhook URL is correct and wasn't rotated. Re-copy it from Teams Connectors and update it in Gjall.

"Webhook is inactive" error

Teams deactivates connectors after 60 days of inactivity. Reconfigure the connector in Teams and update the URL in Gjall.

Only some alerts appear

Check that your vendor criticality settings are High or Critical — lower-severity alerts are filtered by default.

Ready to connect?

Paste your Teams Webhook URL in Settings.
